Relive it here.

It's big if the Orioles win the next two. I look forward to seeing Parra in the lineup and hope he contributes. Next game is the remaining Tigers "ace", Anibal Sanchez. Even though his ERA is almost as high as Verlander's.

Man, it didn't take long for the Tigers to go from having maybe the best rotation in baseball to having a real problem there.

I fully enjoyed the walk off live on TV as I did Harper getting ejected. FP was sad.

O's win, nats lose, mets win - the trifecta

One of the best fireworks displays I've ever seen, perfectly synchronized with the music playlist. It's amazing what they can do these days.

As to the game, it was exhilarating and frustrating at the same time. We had runners on first and third and one out three times: strikeout by Davis, double play gtounder by Jones, strikeout by Flaherty. Then later, runners on first and third, nobody out: Davis tries to steal 2B without sliding and is tagged out, then Wieters strikes out. Seems a funny thing to say after scoring 8 runs, but the offense really frustrated me.

On the other hand, the top of the order got on base a ton, the homers were timely, and the Jones-Schoop-Wieters relay was a thing of beauty.

o

I was on the road for 9 hours yesterday, driving home from North Carolina to Brewster.

I caught the first inning and-a-half on the Orioles radio station when I was in south-central Pennsylvania, and heard Chen giving up 2 runs before the broadcast faded out.

I was then relegated to listening to the Yankee game (Suzyn Waldman and John Sterling) for the rest of the trip, and relying on their updates.

About an hour later I heard that the Tigers were winning by a score of 6-1, and that Chen had gotten KO'd in the 4th inning.

At that point, I thought to myself, "There is no way that they will surmount another epic comeback the very next day after nearly erasing a 7-run deficit."

About an hour later, Waldman and Sterling informed me that the Orioles were winning the game by a score of 8-7 entering the 9th inning.

Unbelievable.
