Our Hitting Coach

Don't think that'll help much. Coolbaugh had a .215 career (albeit short) average in the majors.

Do you really think that playing ability has any correlation at all to coaching ability? If so, then why have almost no HOF players gone on to successful careers as coaches? Why wouldn't Hank Aaron, Mike Schmidt, Willie Mays, Eddie Murray, and Ken Griffey be on everyone's short list to get a huge contract to be their hitting coach?

The Crow was one of the best hitting coaches we had, of course, IMO.

On the baseball field, his average wasn't that great. He was pretty dang good as a pinch hitter.
