Has This Team Turned The Corner?

They may or may not have turned a corner, but they sure didn't let that no-hitter get them down.

As I said last night, when Buck Showalter is the manager of a team, said team doesn't seem to suffer any "devastating" losses.

Bucky sees to it that a loss is a loss, a win is a win, and you had better put yesterday behind you, because you've got another game to play today.

Plus, I think September call-ups are going to benefit us the most out of the 3 teams. Just saying...

Good post. Not sure if it is accurate but could be.

Who do you think gets called up since both Norfolk and Bowie will be in the playoffs?

I seriously doubt they pillage those teams.

Great recovery by the team!

I honestly felt like it was trouble at 4-0 on Friday night.

I honestly don't get mad often because IMO the buck birds never give up. Can never question the heart and desire of showalter orioles.

A 4 game sweep of As would make up for that extra loss in Seattle that shouldn't have happened

Yep, the Friday night win and then the walk off win last night. Seemed like a different team playing those games and then this slugfest this afternoon is a nice change.

Guys like CD, AJ, MW, Britton, and all the guys who have been here for quite some time, have that now as part of their DNA

Today evens that out well. That was just a loss. This is just a win.

My point was more that the board tends to go through highs and lows quickly. Five days ago we were finished...today we have turned a corner. I think this team is what it is and still has an excellent chance to make the playoffs despite its flaws.

Well, Buck did say Norfolk being in the playoffs won't affect September call-ups. I think players on the 40 man roster are a good bet to come up. Cabral, Drake, Rondon for the bullpen. Roe, Wright, Wilson will be coming off the DL at some point as well. For the hitters, Walker will be up. Hopefully, Alvarez and Mancini, but we'll have to make room on the 40 for them.

I'd have to agree.
