That said, I am guessing if he signed with Boston, they will be paying him more than enough to ease the pain of that.

I doubt they can move him. Perhaps the funniest thing I read recently on MLBTR was this rambling post there that went on about the BoSox trying to move him and identified the Orioles as a potential trade partner. Its a funny read, suggesting the Orioles would be a trade partner for their scrub so that the BoSox can sign CD....OK as if the rest of baseball exists simply to improve the Red Sox and give them mulligans

After the Trumbo trade, little likelihood of that. But what I want to know is who are all these mystery teams laying in the weeds ready to offer CD more than 6/120? None of the ones listed in the poll IMO.

Seattle doesn't have a first baseman. Boog Powell but it's the other guy. Seriously, with the departure of Morrison and now Trumbo they have a hole. And Davis fits the athletic type of player with which DiPoto is trying to build his roster. He doesn't typically like to spend big on FA, though.

One of the reasons sited for moving Trumbo was to free up money for Aoki and Iwakuma. Doesn't sound like they have the cash to throw at CD. Maybe.
