Seems like an awesome hire. Only 37 years old, has been the DC at Michigan and Florida. Apparently won some national recruiting award at some point.

Hopefully he is good at recruiting. That is one thing the Terps need above all! At least on the level of VanDerlinden.

Apparently, he's trying to lure Auburn's DB coach, Tavaris Robinson, to be his DC. TRob is a great recruiter, so I hope we hang on to him. TRob worked for Durkin at FL, and came back to Auburn with Muschamp.

If Muschamp leaves, we may look to make TRob our DC. Lots of moving parts.

This is a good thing! Sounds like he is hitting the ground running. As far as the offensive side I hope they at least get an OC that is well versed in blocking scheme's. My vote would be Ashley Ingram from Navy. But I'm sure Durkin already has someone in mind.

I don't think you even interview without contacting people about coming with you.

If he does leave, I think we probably try to take him back in a year or two as our DC, when Muschamp inevitably leaves.

I'd rather watch an undermanned squad that is well coached then a group of prized recruits that are poorly coached.

We've already seen that with Ralph Friedgen. A good x's and o's coach that couldn't recruit very well. Maryland would have had one heck of a team if we could have had VanDerlinden and Friedgen together on the same team.

Is Muschamp ditching that offense? A program would be crazy to hire him if he is hell bent on bringing that offensive philosophy to his next school.
