This WS is over. KC is a much better team and will likely sweep.

You also said that you feared that the Orioles would finish the 2015 season at 4-32 when they were struggling in mid-August.

And now you're declaring that the series is over, and that the Royals are vastly superior when they are about to go up 2 games to 0.

You're either a front-runner, or you like to kick teams when they are down ...... or both.

How much money would you have paid to have watched Tarasco and the 17 year-old Maier mix it up ???

I really wish that that kid's friend had opened his mouth.

I guess it's enough that Meier almost literally pissed his pants when he thought that the kid would tell Tarasco what he had said about him

Would have been a rematch for the ages.

So far, this series is shaping up somewhat similar to the Mets' series with the Cubs in the N.L.C.S.

The Cubs had no answer when they went back home after the first 2 games.

The Mets' resolve will be tested in essentially the same fashion as was the Cubs'.

14 years ago, I asked a friend of mine who is an avid Mets fan how much money he would be willing to pay to watch Lennox Lewis fight Roger Clemens in a 12-round boxing match.

He thought about it for a few seconds, and calmly replied, "Seventy-five."

That was hilarious to me, because he didn't crack a smile, or show any emotion ....... he simply stated in the most matter-of-fact fashion.

I was probably more in the $35 range for Maier-Tarasco. But with a refund policy in case the fight was called due to soiled boxing trunks.

Is Ed Kranepool and Cleon Jones also playing?

The National Anthem in the World Series in Baltimore was done by the York High School Band.Shea had Pearl Bailey and Steve Lawrence in 1969.

KC is unstoppable. The Mets are out of their league (literally, it's the WS).

The Cubs were unstoppable until they played the Mets.

The Blue Jays were unstoppable until they played the Royals.

Perhaps neither of them should have bothered taking the field in their respective League Championship Series.

And maybe the Mets should just give up right now, because they are down 2 games to 0.

    • A lot of people didn’t like this signing.  It was a few bad outings last year but otherwise, he was very good. He will have some bumps in the road but he’s a very capable guy still.
    • I agree. It has to be anticipating Mountcastle being out a little longer, maybe they will IL him too if his knee doesn’t improve quickly. But if Hays is out the minimum 10 days (one of which already passed), maybe Kjerstad gets 3 starts from Mountcastle and 1-2 from rest days for others, available to pinch hit the rest. That wouldn’t be so bad.
    • I trust the O’s and Elias’ handling of him.  Similar to Decosta and the Ravens, they seem to make more good decisions than other clubs do.     I think he can work it out at the major league level if they do.  Wouldn’t be worried if he got sent down to regain some confidence.
    • I don’t see Wells coming back to the rotation. That was never the plan to begin with. Also, I’m not sure it’s a given that Means can make effective starts at the Bug League level right now. He’s been legit terrible against AAA hitters on a pretty consistent basis so far this season. Now Bradish on the other hand, if he can return, he will probably bump one of Suarez or Irvin to the pen (the one who is pitching the worse).  If Suarez keeps performing (I don’t think his current level is realistic to expect) but at a good level for a back end starter, he stays.
    • Remove Bradish and I will maybe agree. To me this guy is destined for the pen, where hopefully his swing and miss stuff plays up even more. Could be an important piece, but I’m not getting my hopes up too far after two appearances.
    • Good comp. I see a lot of Daniel Cabrera from Suarez. A bigger guy with a real heavy fastball with heat and movement.    Cabrera ending up not living up to his potential, but for a minute it was fun dream of a 1-2 with him and bedard as lethal TOR starters.
    • To each their own. Carry on…
