4/19 - Saturday Hangout Night at the Yard - Pregame at Edgar's

Wish I had gotten a better shot at this. I can't remember which adamant conversation this was, but how many times did this happen last night? 10? And when James gets going, he really talks with his hands. It's fun to watch.

Great time like always. I'm not sure if it's possible to have more fun at a game then hanging out with this group of people watching the Orioles shutout the Yankees. Add in a beautiful night, full moon, and enough Miller Light to make the night go by very, very quickly, and I have to say it was about as close to perfect as possible.

It was great seeing some folks for the first time like Wedge and the Mrs, Mrs McLovin, Mackus, The Rick, Goober Noodles, GotNitro, Eddie, and of course all the regulars.

Hope to see more folks on Saturday May 17th....

Things I learned tonight:

1) Everyone wants to talk to weams.

2) Never tell Scott Hoffman to shut up, especially from a few rows behind him.

3) Never was a name so wrong than SilentJames.

4) Tony has good reasons for getting James to games.

5) I'll get punched if I ever pull the "hold my nose" gag if caught on Kiss-Cam

I learned that Tony-OH is not allowed to watch a Millar AB (away from the seats during the HR, and he "hid" by pulling his hat down over his eyes and putting the sunglasses on during subsequent Millar ABs).

As always, I had a great time last night. Sorry I wasn't up for going back to Edgar's post-game. As it was, we didn't get home 'til 11:30 or so (stupid light rail sending not one, but two, "out of service" trains while we were waiting. Public transportation rocks!! NOT. But I digress......).

Anyway, I had a great time and look forward to the May Hangout game. I really look forward to Hangout games in '09 where I can participate in the beer drinking festivities again.

Great game! Very nice meeting the "new" Hangout night folk, like Wedge and Mrs. Wedge, TheRick, Bmoreboy, Avencill, McLovin and I'm sure some others. CKD - glad you enjoyed the game. Next time introduce yourself so we all get to know you!

Always fun catching up with the regulars.

And it's ALWAYS fun watching Yankee fans mope their way out of the stadium.

I learned that no matter how careful you are, putting mustard on your soft pretzel can be dangerous. (At least it didn't end up on the jersey!)

Anyway fun times. Looking forward to the next one.

Yup that was us. That was my buddy's wife. She's a native New Yorker.

We made her here about it all night. Actually she wanted to leave in the 8th but we told her she had to watch the whole thing. My buddy had his son ask her maybe 25 times what the score was cause he forgot.

I was in seat 7, my wife in seat 6.

I had a lot of fun Sat. thanks for setting stuff up.

Matt and I were sitting next to a couple from NoVa that were cheering for the Yankees, but other than that they were a lot of fun to be with. The woman got drunk (as people tend to do when they consume alcohol) and her and I had the following conversation:

Her: So what do you think?

Me: About what?

Her: The Yankees and the Orioles.

Me: What about them?

Her: Who do you think is better?

I proceeded to answer. She then had the EXACT same conversation with Matt, and then with the people behind us.

Had a blast at the game, was nice to meet everybody. I'll definitely be trying to make it to further games.
