I'm really interested to see how Rickard performs once the lights go on. He could end up being our biggest acquisition of the offseason, if he truly is a solid leadoff hitter.

What would be his comp if, say, he hits .280/.360/.410 and swipes 20 bags as a leadoff guy?

You need to throttle that back.

That's a better slash line than Roberts had as his career average.

Roberts took a hit from the injuries late in his career but he also put up some fine seasons in a much more offensive friendly era.

And of course he had help.

I think it will be tough for him to maintain such a high OBP if he is not hitting for power.

What is promising though is the extra base hits we have seen in Spring Training. He also hit six homeruns in 191 at bats in the Winter League. He could be a late developer or maybe he's on some good supplements I don't know.

If he can turn into a 10 to 15 homerun guy rather than a 0-5 I think he could be a special player for us.
