No, it didn't look like a great jump. It was like he was either thinking it was going to be a ball for a walk or a strike that Millar would either hit either fair or foul

Anybody have the stats on how often Ichiro scores when he leads off the inning by getting on first base? Seems like it may be an astronomically high number.

I don't know but it's not happening this inning.

Actually, he was safe. Fahey didn't tag him until he was on the bag. The throw beat him by three feet (and was 3 feet wide of the bag).

Fahey is really bad at putting down tags on basestealers. He seems like he's afraid of them (even little guys like Ichiro). Maybe it's a product of his size. Then again, none of our middle IFs are particularly good at it.
