Mora just smoked that ball. I was just thinking he looks like he's getting ready to break out. If he doesn't in the next couple of days though I'd say a day off could be in order. Jones in the #2 hole doesn't make sense. He's destined for the middle of the order. If Mora needs to be moved down, how about a shakeup along the lines of:

Roberts

Millar (his best asset is seeing a lot of pitches and walking and cleanup is not treating him well)

Markakis

Scott

Huff

Jones

Mora

R Hernandez

Nohit Shortstop

Yes I realize that's three lefties in a row but I think that's overrated. Both Markakis and Scott have pretty even splits anyway. Huff and/or Scott could move down below any combination of Jones/Mora/Hernandez based on who's hot.

I like that line-up, except for, as you already mentioned, the three lefties in a row. The problem with having so many lefties or righties in a row occurs later in the game, when the opposition can throw out a lefty specialist for three straight batters rather than one or two. It helps the opposition's bullpen to have so many lefty hitters in a row. It may be a bit overrated of a concern, but not entirely.

Scott may be more of a middle-of-the order guy than a #2 guy in the future, but still, it would be interesting to see what he can do at the #2 spot for a while. Scott may or may not be a big power home run guy in the future. He may be more of a doubles hitter with good speed. We'll have to wait and see.

By Scott in the last paragraph I assume you mean Jones? Because I think we have a pretty good idea what kind of player Scott is and he definitely doesn't have good speed. ;)

As for the three lefties thing, let them throw their best LOOGY at three guys in a row. Since LOOGYs aren't usually the greatest pitchers in their team's bullpen and two of the three lefties have very even splits I have no problem with that at all.
