13 Walks in 13 Innings ...... Only 1 Run

Recommended Posts

In the White Sox' 2-1 win over the Mets today, their pitchers walked 13 Mets in 13 innings, but ceded only 1 run.

Former Oriole Matt Albers not only got the win by pitching 2 shutout innings, he also scored the winning run (the first of his MLB career) after hitting a lead-off double in the top of the 13th inning, and eventually scoring on a sacrifice fly.

For the series, the White Sox bullpen pitched 13 shutout innings in 3 games ...... a complete 180-degree turn from what they did in their previous series against the Royals.
