What's up with DJ Stewart's Home/Away Splits?

Road: 94 AB's .909 OPS

Home: 81 AB's .540 OPS

SSS and all but it was the same thing last year in Aberdeen.

Road: 122 AB's .757 OPS

Home: 116 AB's .501 OPS

He's approaching 500 career PA's. Still SSS? Does he feel too much pressure or something when playing in at home? Are they trying to work on his swing while he's home and then on the road he can relax? What's the deal?

Plus his SB's are way up. He's already 13/18 this year. He didn't run that much last year. Might give some legitimacy that after the draft last year he was out of shape(didn't work out until signed) and worn down after a long college season.

Both Aberdeen and Delmarva are pitchers' parks. That said, those are very extreme splits.

Maybe. He got first round money but I don't think there's too much night life in Delmarva. I was thinking that we might have a roving milb hitting instructor, or some hitting coach that doesn't travel with the team, and they are re-working his hitting mechanics when the team is home. Just my tin foil theory.

It could be SSS but the guy is real close to the player that we all hoped for on the road and then hitting like a NL pitcher at home.
