1.20 per game, highest since 1.21 in 1996 (which was the all-time high).

The O's are currently at 1.56 per game, on pace for 253 for the season. The Mariners hit 1.63 per game in 1997, and the Orioles hit 1.59 per game in 1996.

The O's as a whole actually haven't given up that many homers. 79 homers allowed, a bit better than the AL average which is 85 or the MLB average which is 82. I didn't check but I would guess if you restrict it to SPs we might look a lot worse in the HRs allowed rankings.

We said this team could take a shot at the HR title, and the dog days of July & August are not even here, yet.
