Joey Rickard?

Rickard is doing a nice job. He started to scuffle a bit toward the end of May, and Buck (wisely) started platooning him. He and Kim complement each other well. I think Rickard is an asset to the team, but I trust Buck to use him correctly to get the most out of him. And he'll still continue to get better, and could end up being an everyday player eventually.

I agree with all of this. He's young and cheap and has in my mind, replaced Reimold as our first utility OF. Maybe he becomes a starter. Who knows? A nice pickup by Dan...we need to give him credit once in a while.

Agree with your agree! The options were paying a bunch of money to Steve Pearce or guys like Venable or Murphy as an extra outfielder. Rickard has done a nice job, and I think his role is pretty much a 4th outfielder.

I love this guy. I love his attitude, keeps going hard even though he no longer plays full time. With the emergence of Kim "the hitting machine", Joey has accepted his part-time role.
