Michael Phelps: OHHHHH's shout out at Olympics

We know Buck is Anti-Tebow....But

But once that medal went around his neck and the national anthem played, he clearly was in the moment and not thinking of another race to come.

The dead giveaway was the tears in his eyes.

"I was going through the last 16 years," he said, to his first Olympic swim in 2000. "That event was kind of my bread and butter. That was the last time I'll ever swim it."

Amid that reverie, something jarred him into laughter. It was the sound of some buddies accenting the "Oh" near the end of the Star Spangled Banner. That was something Orioles fans do back in Phelps' hometown of Baltimore - and it was something three of his friends did in the stands at Olympic Aquatics Stadium.

"That brought me right back to Camden Yards," Phelps said.

My boys from Baltimore were down on the other end, and back in Maryland, we all say “O!” for the Orioles during that part of the National Anthem. And all of the sudden I hear them roar “O!” and I knew exactly where I came from, and I just lost it because those guys came down from Baltimore and New York City to be here, and it’s just special to see those guys in the stands.

Last night on the medal stand he broke out laughing because his "boy's down from Baltimore" roared a load OHHHH during the national anthem.

Freaking classic.

He told Michele Tafoya about it in the interview afterward.

Also, I'm shocked it took this long for this to get its own thread.

Your title better reflected the content. Thanks.
