Next Hangout Night should be at Fenway, and I wanna hear "Let's Go O's" on the broadcast.

Not a bad idea, but I was looking at tickets for games at Fenway and they are really pricy.

I want to road trip to Fenway but given the cost I think I'll have to plan it a year in advance with airfare, ticket, hotel, etc.

A direct quote, edited slightly for profanity:

and:

Stay classy, Red Sox fans.

As a Birds fan, it warms my orange heart that Boston fans would feel this way. They should not feel at home in Camden Yards. I am glad that Baltimore fans gave them hell and let those Sawk fans know that you are in Birdland mofo's! The O's kicked the BoSox a** and if Sox fans can't handle Baltimore fans screaming like its a playoff win, then don't come to Camden Yards! This is our house. Charm City beeeeyooucth!

Ok, so when we treat games like a playoff atmosphere they rip us for being classless, but when we don't show up and/or sit on our hands they rip us for being bad and unknowledgable fans...OK.

Section 324 was crazy on Tuesday. The fight at the end was a little much, but apparently some Red Sox fan came up and hit a girl instead of her boyfriend who was the one talking. For real though, all they talk about is the atmosphere at Fenway and then get mad when they are on the other side of it. I would say "Go back to Boston," but I'm not sure if half of them have ever even been to Boston in the first place.

EDIT: The girl apparently hit the dude with a roundhouse kick. I didn't see this, but a non drinking source in my group informed me of this so I believe it.

I have a related rant: what's with Gary Thorne's enthusiasm for Boston (and other opposing teams)? When Ramirez made that catch in LF, I thought Thorne would leave his seat in the booth for the excitement and enthusiasm behind that call. Doesn't he call games for the O's home TV feed? If so, it'd be nice if he seemed like a home announcer and de-emphasized--somewhat--the other team's accomplishments.

I'm not quite advocating someone as partial as, say, Ronnie Santo, but a little less excitement about the other team thwarting the O's efforts would be nice. Someone at MASN really should speak with Thorne about this--it's terribly annoying and detracts from the game, regardless of the on-field happenings.

Guest Sailor Jerry

Red Sox fans have become total clowns. Most real Sox fans would even admit many of their so-called brethren are making mockeries of themselves. If Jim Rice makes the HOF this year they'll have no idea what the heck just happened.

That play would have been cheered by O's fans at Memorial Stadium back when the O's were good all the time. Chuck Thompson would have described in great detail on the radio what a great play it was. It's about baseball.

This idea that they're supposed to censor commentary on good baseball is wacko. This is not a friggin' war, it's baseball.

He's all about appreciating the good, even if it happens to happen with the opposing team. Even Homer Hunter would acknowledge good plays from the opposing team.

I do believe the excitement of his voice though is still a carry over from national hockey when he was impartial and would be that way for both sides. Honestly, it doesn't annoy me as much as others because I will cheerfully take the few cons for his many pros.

Just got back from the game. Great seats, but the Sox ruined my [flippin'] night along with the obnoxious Orioles fans around me. They [flippin'] screamed their heads off like it was a playoff game. Have some [flippin'] pride.

Is this guy serious?!! Their fans act as if they'd won the WS after every routine play!

Did you hear how pissy Trembley got last night when asked about this issue? He pretty much cut the question off, and was like "it's nice to have the Yard full. Full of baseball fans." Something like that. Definitely don't bring that up with Trembley, seems like a point of contention. And it seems like he doesn't care who is there either. Maybe thats because that's an off the field beyond his control question and he doesn't like to be asked things like that in post gamer.

By the way, it was apparently Ken Weinhouse (sp? I never get that guys name right), and he was on HFS last night for the A-List and was saying how he asked the question and Trembley misinterpreted him, he was trying to ask about the overall atmosphere and Trembley cut him off thinking he was trying to make a point about the Boston fans.

By the way...this scenerio was awesome, and yet I only got one response about it, and that was via rep. Recognize how awesome it is, people.

That was very Barney Stinson of me...but it's still awesome. :D

Didn't you get the YESPN memo? They forgave him. They gave him a standing O and everything when he threw out the first pitch.

But you know what? If I were Bill Buckner, I would have gone out to throw the first pitch, stood there, dropped the ball, turned around slowly in a circle with both middle fingers extended and walked off the field (or, carried off).

Then called an immediate PC and been like "you tortured me, and my family, for two decades. And now that you won a couple of World Series, you think things are hunky dory? Oh, sorry for all the mental anguish, Bill, no hard feelings, we're winners now"? Well, I'm sorry, "Red Sox Nation, but it doesn't work that way. I'd rather continue receiving your hate mail then get your hypocritical accolades."

Never would have happened, but it shoulda.

I was surely one of those obnoxious fans last night: here's what I decided to do.

And yes' date=' this may be over the top, but I 100% don't care:

I decided to go in my Roberts Jersey as usual, but with 1 edition, a brand new New York Giants hat (Mind you I don't even like the Giants). I bought it at 1pm that day. I loved hearing the talk about it too, "hey nice to be a bandwaggoner Giants guy, and all I had to say was,

Nah, I don't like the Giants, never have. It's just nice to see how angry a bunch of bandwaggoner cheaters get when their overpaid, pompus, arrogant faces get pink because the lowley Orioles make Beckett look like a 4 year old on her first day of pre-school.

Go back to your Boston you idiots, oh wait a second, nevermind, go back to the high class suburbs of Washington, and wait for a new train to come around for you to jump on. Maybe this one won't take 3/4 of a century.[/quote']

Outstanding...rep to you my friend.

You overlooked the context by which he made those remarks. To be honest, IF it went down as he said, I would have made the same choice comments about the city, if the reverse was true and I was in Boston. Specifically, a few posts further, he went on to say (expletives edited if possible):
