Hope so.   Buck had to do some pretty fancy dancing with the other guys in the pen to make up for O'Day's absence and his post-injury inconsistency last year.    Buck's job will be a lot easier if the 2012-15 version of O'Day returns for 2017.

The bullpen was great last year without O'day for most of the year.  Lots of teams are going crazy to build what we have and I still think we have the best pen.  You can't get much better than Britton, Brach, O'day, Givens.  That's a tough pen.

Reliever Darren O’Day, who’s had the flu since Thursday, said he feels better today. Buck Showalter said that O’Day is “Physically active, and available to us as we see fit.”

Showalter isn’t going to let the opposition know if someone on the roster can’t play or pitch.

O'Day looked pretty good out there tonight against the Yankees. 

He walked 2 batters, but he looked pretty healthy.

His command was slightly off, but the movement on his pitches was pretty nasty.
