Watched my DVR of the game later last night and Illinois sure did not look like much.  But, listening to the announcers it was their first real road game and they shot the 3 the worst they have all season.   Playing small actually seemed to help our offense quite a bit, but probably cannot get away with that with teams with a better inside presence.    Still was a fun game to watch and I am a bit more comfortable with this team than I was a week ago.  Looking forward to watching them on New Years day.

Missed the game, but was encouraged by the type of game against real DIV-I basketball players. Seems like the shooting is coming around, but I worry when we need that inside presence on a day when they're not falling will they be healthy enough to win on those days? What was Checko out for?

Left ankle injury is all I saw.

I agree, we could be in trouble against a team with size inside without him or Dodd.  Bender is just too clumsy on defense.  He did move and catch well last night on offense however, that was encouraging.

That's good to hear Bender looked better. I haven't been too impressed with him.
