Lots of O's pitchers throw a mid 90's fastball, they dont seem to have a changeup to go with it. At least no one in the upper levels anyway. Its impossible to project anything from pitchers in the lower levels. I just assume if they have a changeup that makes them SP material.

We have no idea if he can maintain his velocity, if he can command his pitches, if he had the proper temperament, if he can hold runners on.  So many things we don't know.  Maybe his 96 MPH fastball is arrow straight?

Let's get him in some games before deciding on a ranking.

Dariel Alvarez will not even be in the Orioles system if he can't make the team as a reliever by this time next year.

Let him hit when he pitches, put a +fielder out there, and DH for them?

Unfortunately, a DH may only substitute for the Pitcher. And in the slot the pitcher was in to start the game. No double switches with DH either.

Rule 5.11.
