Austin Wynns injured his ankle while playing for Tigres del Licey in the Dominican Winter League and may not be available until the middle of March. He was on the list of spring invites, along with top prospect Chance Sisco and Audry Perez.

The 40-man roster includes catchers Welington Castillo, Caleb Joseph and Francisco Pena.

I predict Caleb will make this effort a moot point by putting up a solid season as the backup. Solid relative to backup catcher standards, I mean. I think we'll see an OPS back in the .600s with a few HRs and good enough defense to keep a good hold on the job.

I fully expect his salary-per-RBI to be better than last year's $DIVIDE_BY_ZERO_ERROR.
