He was comparable in Baltimore actually:

  • Andino (1223 PA) - .629 OPS, 72 OPS+
  • Flaherty (1227 PA) - .642 OPS, 75 OPS+

Glad to have Andino back in the organization, especially if he's cool with spending time in Norfolk.  ^_^

If we cut Flash and had Andino as our bench guy, I'd be happy. Save the O's 1.8 million

Roch had it right. Andino is not going to replace Flash.

From what I remember about Andino, he wasn't the best fielder on the team.

in 2009, he had 8 errors in 55 games at SS.

Not sure, why they signed him to a MIL, he isn't a Janish type, known for his glove.

He was pretty good in 2011 but it was apparently a one year blip, like Flaherty had a two year blip from 13-14 and Schoop in '14.

I will always remember the swag that man had at fan fest after the 2011 season. He was a little god and took time to sign every youngster's autograph. I met him on his second or third day in the organization after we traded Hayden Penn for him. A wonderful guy to be around.
