There is no way in hell the Marlins are worth $1.6 Billion. If this deal goes through, Loria should be busted for stealing. I bet he gets 25%-35% of the money that gets paid when the new ownership buys the Marlins.

Not sure how an owner with insufficient capital to buy the team under current rules would be an improvement.

I think this deal will not get approval from MLB, too much debt involved, and not like the Dodgers, with no other assets and mega TV money in place.

Seems pretty unethical to me, but getting Loria out of baseball is too appealing to pass up IMO.
