Catcher Welington Castillo took the field with the Orioles for the first time Feb. 14, and he'll have less than three weeks to get to know his new pitching staff before he leaves for the WBC.

"It's not going to take me a long time because when I was traded to Arizona, it's going to be the same thing almost like [when] you get traded to another team when you don't know the pitching staff, you've got to get to know them pretty quick. I feel that I'm going to be good and that everybody in here knows what to do, too, so it's going to be easier for me."

Castillo hit a two run homer in his first AB at the WBC. Off of Ryan Dempster in the second inning of the Canada - Dominican matchup.

I have a gut feeling this guy is going to hit 25 or so homeruns for us this season.

Just watching the replay of the game now on MLB-TV. Pretty thrilling to see that go out for him. It felt like I was watching an Oriole do well in an All-Star game, which, I guess this is in a way. And Manny made a tremendous diving play on his first chance.
