As am I.  I was expecting him to come out of the gates strong this year.  If it's Gausman and the four nobodies this team is going to be out of it by July.

I try not to read too much into spring training.    But it's still not encouraging when a guy you have high hopes for struggles in the spring.

I have included the statistics for Gausman's 3-inning stint in the game against the Dominican Republic, a game that MLB and the Orioles do not include in their statistics.

Statistically, Gausman has had an excellent Spring Training ....... an outstanding ERA, WHIP, Opponents Batting Average, and Strikeouts-to-Walks ratio (7 BB's, 19 SO's.) He averaged more than one strikeout per inning (19 Strikeouts over 16.67 Innings Pitched.)

Gausman lost it in the 5th.  Had great movement.  Needed to trust his stuff more, especially with a 2-0 lead.  The slider looks like it's gotten to be a plus pitch.
