Are the Blue Jays Done?

The Blue Jays may or may not be done, but the Orioles are certainly doing their part to try to put them away.

They have beaten the Blue Jays 9 out of the 12 times in which they have played each other so far this season, including going 5-2 against them at the SkyDome in Canada.

And the Red Sox just stomped on their balls by sweeping them at the Skydome.

It started on Friday when the Blue Jays scored 3 runs in the 1st inning, but lost in 11 frames.

It got worse on Saturday with a 7-1 loss.

It bottomed out for them on Sunday when they bowed by a tally of 15-1.

They may not necessarily be done at 9 and-a-half games back at the midway point of the season, but they are on life-support.

I like Boz Scaggs, but how about a guy from Texas who didn't go to prep school  . . . ?

I don't care if he is from Texas, or if he did nor did not go to prep school ........ unless, perhaps, if he complained about his parents forcing him to go to prep/parochial school. Then, I would love to hear their story.

  • Blue Jays team president Mark Shapiro discussed his experiences in the game with MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand, and the wide-ranging interview touched on the Jays’ immediate plans for 2018.  Past reports have suggested that the Jays are still looking to contend next season, and Shapiro reiterated that by suggesting that there is a priority towards retaining the increased fan support that has surfaced from the team’s recent postseason success.  “In this situation, the desire to win and to continue to give a relatively new fan base — because a lot of fans that are coming are new fans — a reason to cheer and to come to the ballpark is probably more important than just maybe pushing the express button on how to regenerate and reinvigorate the farm system,” Shapiro said.
