It is a shame that down three runs Adam jones swung at balls four and five or we would have two on and no out. Do these guys not understand a walk counts he same as a single ? I'm at the game . Sitting in center field. How long can there pitcher get away with getting behind two and o on every other hitter?

It is fascinating to watch Jones go into and out of these stretches.  He obviously knows it is happening and yet can't help himself.  Then, one day out of the blue, he will get calm and zen-like.

If this club folds like an accordion I would jettison Duquette and Showalter after the season and bring in one of the many   talented analytic guys out there and blow it up.

I agree with that. This group gave us a ride, but I think they've reached their limit.

Listening to the reinstall broadcast, even they are saying they may have got a break on the call on schoop? Since I'm at the game and couldn't see it on tv, what do you guys think?

I don't think he swung, but it was close. The umpire definitely should have asked the 1st base umpire. But the was Schoop looked, it would have just delayed the inevitable.

He didn't swing.

It was a bad call, similar to the one last week when Machado was called out to end the game.

The only difference was that the home-plate umpire made the call on Schoop, whereas the Machado call was made by the 1st-base umpire.

I think we are seeing the "real" Orioles team now. Same old story...cant work a pitcher...swing for the fences...mediocre to poor pitching...3rd or 4th place finish...

3rd place may be a WC berth.

We look brutal now.
