I always had the feeling that Buck has been planning to retire after his contract is up next year. If things end up going really south, he might resign and move his retirement plans up by one year.

We need a whole new organization done the right way, all the way down to the scouts.  Who would you think would be a good new manager?  And new GM?

Not me.  He is really the only piece outside of Manny that could be truly excellent.  And I am not trading the one pitcher we already have like that.
