.806 OPS in 30+ games. We've acquired two SS's in the last 10 days. Tejada would be an upgrade over Janish.

And he is three years younger than Flaherty.

He's on a minor league deal, so no 40 spot. I don't know much about options, but could be insurance if Janish has none and gets claimed on a DFA (I know...Unlikely) but might also be an extra infielder because one is about to get a roster spot or there is another suspension coming. Or a trade...

Good MLB OBP.  Any chance he and Hardy have opposite splits?  I tried to look it up but didn't have any luck.

Hardy has a .547 OPS.  He's one of the worst everyday players in baseball. Tejada is probably an upgrade defensively too.

Janish is free to go wherever he chooses if waived.

.OBP is the third worst in the league. (minimum 150 AB's).

Tejada was an OK defender for the Mets. Doesn't have much pop, but is willing to take a walk. He's probably now our best option at SS if Hardy gets hurt or needs a break.
