June 4th O's at Twins

Man, Brian has gotten robbed twice by the Twins outfield tonight. The good news though is that he's hit the ball very hard in the past two games and had some of his trademark long at bats where he fouls off a ton of pitches... and he's doing this in the Metrodome which he hates hitting in and has his worst average in of all the AL ballparks IIRC. Here's hoping we're finally about to see a nice 3-4 week stretch of the crazy red hot Brian we all know and love.

Until the O's learn to execute the fundamentals--as they are supposed to under DT--they'll continue to be a sub-par team and lose games like this. What's frustrating is that not beating oneself is one thing this team cd do to improve itself without having a better roster.

Way to take a pitch Roberts...

First of all, he did take a pitch. Secondly, the one he hit was a good hitters pitch and he drove it a long way. With a slower CF, that's a double or triple in the gap. It makes no sense to keep rolling your eyes every time someone swings early in the count, even when they swing at a good pitch and hit the ball well.

The encouraging thing tonight, despite the loss, is that DC walked no one. Good work, DC.
