I'm interested in how Scott will be used.

I'm also curious if Mountcastle will get some time at second or in the outfield.

If they use him like they did last year in the AFL, he had short starts, similar to this year in Bowie.

But with Akin going, not sure if they will have 2 starters.

They also have listed the last two spots as "OF" and "P."

Maybe Mullins and Berry or Meisinger.

VERY happy to see Stevie going!

Orioles will send LHPs Keegan Akin, Paul Faulkner, Tanner Scott, INFs Ryan Mountcastle, Stevie Wilkerson and TBA OF to Arizona Fall League.

Everyone else seems to be reporting that the Orioles have another pitcher to list too. Might be as a replacement, if Akin still has forearm issues of Scott has blister concerns.

I'm a little surprised Hays hasn't been named.    It might be because  they're considering him for a call-up, but I doubt it.

I think Mullins would benefit the most from it (assuming the hamstring isn't still bothering him), he hasn't played a full season and he's the rawest of Bowie's OF prospects.  If I was in charge (ha) I'd send him and have him drop batting from the right side.

Ok gentlemen why did they pick these particular guys?

I'll give it a go.

Wilkerson - This is simple, he's played 5 different positions this season, he's a potential Flaherty replacement (albeit with less power, but a better hit tool).

Akin - He threw 135IP between college and Aberdeen last year, he's only thrown 100 due to a DL stint and mechanic work earlier in the year.  They probably want to get the innings up in a competitive environment, see if he's ready to start in Bowie next year.

Faulkner - I have no idea, maybe they are trying to see if he can help the big league club next year as a LOOGY guy or if they should cut him loose.  I'm not sure though, the K/BB ratio is terrible (especially for a reliever) and there are a number of guys I'd showcase ahead of him.  (Berry, Fry if they want lefties)

Mountcastle - More time to work on defense, more reps, his bat is starting to adjust to AA, maybe they want to see how advanced his bat is.

Tanner Scott - If they are trying to convert him to a starter (which they say they are) he needs more innings, he'll probably end up around 75-80 depending on how far Bowie goes in the playoffs.  He could also use the developmental time to work on a third pitch.

I'd say the Outfielder to be named later will be Mullins or Stewart.

Excellent, thank you for investing the time to put that together. I don't know anything (could end the sentence there) about Faulkner, he and Wilkerson surprised me. Do players generally want to be selected? I hope it's Stewart, I'd like to see if he can continue building his confidence & Mullins appears to be struggling to stay at 100% I'd hate to lose these innings to injury. The muscle injuries can be tricky, I'd rather they  both go but if I'm picking one I'd like it to be DJ.
