Soriano and Acosta aren't getting the job done. Smoltz is done for the year (they had talked about bringing him back in the bullpen if he could pitch).

I wonder what interest they would have in George Sherrill.

Another ship Sherril off to the team who had a bad bullpen outing. :rolleyes:

I have said this before and I will say it again, Sherril just knows how to pitch.

When we are ready to compete in a few years, maybe next year, we will need him.

People are undervaluing him IMO, and while he could bring back some helluva package I believe, he will not be as easy to replace as some people think he will!!!!!!!!!

He isn't as good as Ryan was and we replaced him and we didn't have the talented arms in the organization that we do now.

So, why on earth should we think we can't replace Sherrill, a guy who has never pitched more than 46 innings in a season and has never shown he can go through a full season, in the majors, giving you 1+ innings per start?
