Ramons first year here, he was gunning guys out left and right and was blocking balls the proper way.

I just do not know for the life of me what happened to his defense. Catchers usually remain good catchers, not regress the way he has (outside of Piazza- even though he never had an arm)

The only thing I can think of is he is letting his offense effect his defense?

Anyone else have any hypothesis as to what the hell has happened to Ramon behind the plate? He has been Brutal.

I think people confuse "good arm" with "good behind the plate".

Ever since Ramon got here, I've been puzzled about his good-D rep.

From the beginning, I thought Javy was a much better C, but with an average arm vs. Ramon's much better arm.

Ramon routinely does things that I think are wrong, and that's just from me having been a C in LL a hundred years ago, it's not like I was ever a real C or anything.

In what little we've seen, I think he's better at 3B than he is at 1B.

Which seems kinda odd, but I think it's true anyway.
