that was first hired by his current team after he was 60 years old .....that has not won a World Series.

We all know the MLB executives are are trending younger.

Dan Duquette will be 60 when his contract expires next year.

What makes you think Dan Duquette has any desire to get another job as a GM? As you said, he'll be 60 years old when his contract is up. He has made millions of dollars in baseball. He could probably make millions more writing a tell-all book about working for Angelos if he's not expressly prohibited from doing so.

I could see him sliding comfortably into an analyst's chair on ESPN and co-hosting a show on MLB radio.

I think you grossly overestimate the market for such a book outside of Maryland.

I think you grossly underestimate how much people in Maryland would be willing to pay per copy.

Well, the fact that he tried to get the Toronto job indicates to me he wants to continue to work in baseball.

And I strongly disagree about him "sliding comfortably" into a TV or radio job.  He is very I'll at ease with a microphone I front of him and, frankly, he doesn't have a  personality that would make him desirable for TV or radio folks.

The Toronto job was five seasons ago. Since then he's been shackled to PGA's underpants.

January 2015 = "five seasons ago"?

I think you grossly underestimate how effective and common non disparagement clauses are.

The Toronto job fiasco was not five seasons ago.

Duquette is on a second family, with small children.    I don’t think he’s looking to retire.    He’ll be hoping for a President or GM job that pays more and has fewer constraints than he has in Baltimore.

So far the answer to my question is .....no one is currently a  MLB GM, VP of Ops or President  that was hired at 60 or more.....who has not won a World Series.

Andy MacPhail  became President of the Phillies at age 62 but he has won two World Series.

I am wondering what the market would be for Dan next off season.  Especially if he has two losing seasons in a row.

Actually, I did cover that in my first post on the subject.

I have no idea what he wants or is hoping for.
