In my opinion, no.  He was maybe in the mid-30s on my prospect list.  There were definitely better utility opinions available in the rule 5 draft if the Orioles wanted them.  Wilkerson is a nice story because he's a senior sign who has outperformed his pedigree.  This might actually be good for him if he spends the time working out and adding strength, without the ability to play SS at the MLB level, he probably needs to add some more pop to be a major league player.  His swing will support more power if he adds strength.

The suspension hurts him far more than it does the O's, so if all you care about is the effect on the O's, it's not worth stressing over.
