Is Dan Waiting on Machado Before Doing Anything Else?

To some extent, he has to.   What we get for Manny may determine what else we have to do to fill out the pitching rotation.

He did get four new pitchers Thursday.

They have said a LH bat is a priority.   But until we trade Manny, we don't know if that LH bat has to be an OF/DH or whether it could be a third baseman.

Is he just moving at his usual pace or is he actually waiting to see what happens before making any other moves?

IF there are truly 10 offers on the table for Manny, that's something that can not be negotiated, AND gotten ownership approval for, in a quick manner.  Having said that, moving Britton or another bullpen piece should be less complicated, and I guess that it will happen first.

Give the guy a break!   He did participate in the Rule 5 draft.  Sheesh!  :D

The one area of player acquisition  Dan knows the owner won’t impact him.

Three selections even!  Dan is picking up his game.

It doesn't bother me at all that our 40 man roster had room for three players that were not regarded highly enough for their old teams to protect them.

Don't worry, this will be wrapped up soon.

The O's don't have anyone that can be trusted to fill the #5 SP slot, much less #3 or #4.  I'm looking forward to the trash that DD signs and tries to present as major league starters.  We'll no doubt hear about a pitcher dominated in AA in 2013, etc.
