Tim Beckham is saying and doing all the right things

This isn’t a commentary on whether Beckham should play SS this year, or how he played last year.   Just saying, he seems like a good guy who is coachable and saying all the right things, and he’s been out there doing some things in the community.

I know he's inconsistent defensively, but he did make some extremely enjoyable and impressive plays at SS for us. I look forward to watching him play. I also like that he can run.

I have always liked him since he was taken #1 overall.  I hope the change of scenery will help him reach his potential.  I am still hoping that he has a stellar first half and we can flip him for prospects at the deadline, but I am in the full rebuild camp.

Yes, seems like Mancini,Beckham and Wright were doing holiday things around town. For a guy who was only on the team for two months that seems like a great thing to do. Did not see many of the long tendered Orioles doing anything. The Adam Jones thing he did at Raven stadium was only attended by Mancini (i think) and I know Markakis was there.

Beckham has the tools to be a better defender and should be able to steal more bases.  Hopefully he grows up big time next year in both areas.

- Went to the O’s Christmas events for charity

- Has been working out with Brady for three weeks

- Is about to do infield work with Bobby Dickerson

- Plans to be in Sarasota on Feb. 11

Agreed. Maybe he matured since those issues in Tampa Bay and sees the bigger picture. Hopefully his batting is more "month after trade" than "running out the season." He also seems to be in as many promo materials as Mancini.
