In back-to-back games, the St. John's Redmen basketball team beat the #3 and #1 teams respectively, in NBA houses.

On Saturday, they KO'd #3 Duke at a sold-out Madison Square Garden.

Only 4 days later, they went on the road and stunned #1 Villanova at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

 

The last time that St. John's beat the #1 team in the country was in January of 1985, when they beat the undefeated Georgetown Hoyas at the Capital Centre in Landover, MD. That team was led by Senior center Patrick Ewing.
