5 Straight wins for the Tribe ........ 2 against the Astros, and 3 against the White Sox.

They're making an early move to seize control of the mediocre AL Central division.

Even though they play in the weakest division in baseball, the Indians are a prime prospect to succeed as a sleeper in the postseason with 3 excellent starting pitchers atop their rotation (Corey Kluber, Trevor Bauer, and Mike Clevinger.)

Look out for them come October
.

Came here to post this.  ESPN says it was a bacterial infection that began attacking his organs and that it was "severe."  As in very life threatening.  Just a reminder of how quickly one's life can change.  He is said to be stable now, and there is no word on when/if he'll play again this year.  Very scary stuff but the most recent news looks encouraging.

So at the risk of sounding insensitive, does this increase their potential need for AJ now?  Of course he'd have to waive his rights but I don't think he'll have a better shot to get a ring than with Cleveland this year.

The Indians are going to win their division, with or without Bauer.

It is better that this happened now, as opposed to having it happen in late September.

There is no reason to rush him back ........ he should be fine well in advance of the ALDS in October.

The timetable is longer than originally expected ........ but there is still a good chance that Bauer will be ready when the ALDS starts, 7 weeks from today.
