Look out for them come October. o

ESPN says it was a bacterial infection that began attacking his organs and that it was "severe." As in very life threatening. Just a reminder of how quickly one's life can change. He is said to be stable now, and there is no word on when/if he'll play again this year. Very scary stuff but the most recent news looks encouraging. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/24368344/leonys-martin-cleveland-indians-battling-bacterial-infection So at the risk of sounding insensitive, does this increase their potential need for AJ now? Of course he'd have to waive his rights but I don't think he'll have a better shot to get a ring than with Cleveland this year.

It is better that this happened now, as opposed to having it happen in late September. There is no reason to rush him back ........ he should be fine well in advance of the ALDS in October. o
