Does adding Moustakas alter the balance of power in AL East?

What would adding Mike Moustakas do to an O's line up that is in need of LH power? Does his 38 Hrs and .272./314/.521 change how this team is perceived? I think it does and I think the O's have a bit of cash to go after him. Could he be had for 4/64? It bumps Beckham to utility. It makes the team better. What say you?

The 3 deals left that would give me alot of hope is

1. Sign Lance Lynn - 4/72m with a vesting option.

2. Jon Jay - 2/14m

3. Jonathan Lucroy - 1/8m

I don’t think Lynn will get that big a deal, though maybe the O’s would have to offer that to lure him to OPACY and the AL East.

I am not sure. I don't think Beckham can be utility. He can only backup SS.

I'd go along with those players.

If they can get Moustakas at a decent price, I wouldn't be against it. It would give them a chance to lessen the impact of losing Manny next season.

My only concern would be another mistake contract for an aging player

For me, it's Lynn at 3 years 51, Cobb at 3 years 54 (those two are interchangeable), and Jay 2 years 12.  Similar to what you recommend.

Replace “Does” with “would”  in the thread title and I am thoroughly less thrown off!  ?.

It would be interesting, but I feel like the Orioles are done adding that players and if they do I so much wish it would be a Lynn or Cobb.

I may be a little high, but my thinking is exactly what you said. It may take more to get him here. Cobb may actually be more realistic, since he has the AL experience. But I prefer Lynn.

Jay would be the versatile LH bat that can play all 3 OF positions.

Lucroy has a chance to be a nice rebound situation, like Castillo. And the O's have proven to be a good situation to improve those looking to raise their value at the plate.

What offensive metrics point to a rebound season for Lucroy? He couldn’t even perform in Colorado last year, after he was traded. His 2016 season was a complete outflier from the rest of his career. There’s nothing to suggest that he’ll ever put up those numbers again. If you need a past example, look at Joe Mauer, and Mauer was MUCH better at his peak.

This team needs pitching, and to give their young catcher a chance to play.

You probably didn't mean that the way I first read it.
