I don't see how he can make the OD roster without some degree of improvement.

If he's not right I don't see how a DL stint is going to fix anything.

Just give them more time to evaluate him and their current options. I really don't think it's going to do anything for Tillman since I feel his shoulder is shot, but it might give them some more looks at Cortes and Wright. Maybe convince them they need Cobb, which they should be convince of by now.

I did, but where else can you get a snarky comment in on your pseudo boss and not get fired? 

If they DL Tillman and give the spot to Cortes, would Wright still be considered the 4th starter, in your opinion?

It would probably depend on who Buck thought had the better match up. Right now this team has a one, two and three, and three fives/AAAA starters competing for 4 and 5. Without Cobb this team is going to struggle to stay around .500 once again.

Rodriguez does not have an option, but I think he makes the squad.

Regarding Mesa, all results this time of year are small sample size, but his velocity (and I’d assume the rest of his arsenal as a result) has been down. According to @Frobby he touched 92 last outing, but that’s still a couple ticks down from last season as a starter. His mechanics were all over the place in his first outing (the only one I saw).
