Here is the thing. If we were Boston or NY many of the trades Dan made never happen because we would have signed some FA to fill the gap. No International spending while you are winning makes it extremely difficult to build a strong system. 

I get the other side of the argument. I really do.

I think unless you have a dominant top 3 it is hard to just give away a game every 5th time out.
