Something like that.    But also, guys who are on the 40-man roster two years in a row, like Snelten, make a minimum of $80 k, not under $30 k as quoted above.    It doesn’t change the point that major league money is many multiples of minor league money, I’m just pointing out that guys on the 40-man do a lot better than they guys who aren’t on the 40-man, and actually make a respectable wage.

Under the curent Major League collective bargaining agreement (the CBA runs through the 2021 season):

The minimum salary is $545,000 and will increase to $555,000 in 2019. The minimum salary is subject to a cost-of-living adjustment (rounded to the nearest $500) in 2020 and again in 2021.

The salary for a player on the 40-man roster who is currently playing in the minor leagues depends upon whether that player is under a split contract or a full major league contract.

If under a full major league contract, the player is paid his major league salary while in the minors.

If under a split contract, the Minor League minimum salary depends upon whether this is the player's 1st season on a 40-man roster or his second season (and beyond) on a 40-man roster:

For the first timers, the minimum salary is: (I'm guessing that this is the case for D.J. Snelten)
2018 — $44,500
2019 — $45,300
2020 — at the 2019 rate per season plus a cost of living adjustment, rounded to the nearest $100
2021 — at the 2020 rate per season plus a cost of living adjustment, rounded to the nearest $100

For all others:
2018 — $88,900;
2019 — $90,400;
2020 — at the 2019 rate per season plus a cost of living adjustment, rounded to the nearest $100
2021 — at the 2020 rate per season plus a cost of living adjustment, rounded to the nearest $100

I assumed Snelten was in his second year on the 40-man because he was drafted out of college in 2013 and would have had to be on the 40-man for the 2017 season to have been protected from the 2016 Rule 5 draft.    But upon checking, you’re right that he wasn’t added to the 40-man until this past offseason.

DJ Snelten just allowed a walk-off grand slam.   He’s not exactly impressing this spring.    Two appearances, one out, five runs allowed (plus a run by a runner who was put on 2B per experimental rules).

He certainly Snelton today, and it wasn't a good Snelton.

There we go...the name of Elias adds shall be called a snelton:)

Buck himself came up with the nugget title. No one did it for him. We dont know what Elias or Hyde will come up with yet.
