I voted for the catcher. I think a player that has gone through college ball has a step up on a high school player. IMO

Too early to tell.  So much can happen between now and then.

That said, I predict no less than 25 threads will be started between now and the draft speculating who we should pick.

My vote is neither. It will be someone who will sign for cheaper who was predicted to be taken late first round/early second round. 

 

Im kidding, I don't know. It seems like many more candidates will pop up before next June.

Reason I asked was because the consensus now is that it’s these two and then a noticeable gap between the second and third pick.  It’s chatter you don’t normally get this early in the process.

I still think that if Witt's last name was Brown he wouldn't be talked about near as much.

Is anyone aware as to whether anyone has looked at this: do drafted catchers who caught for three or four years in college tend to wear out sooner, and have shorter professional careers behind the plate, because they start their professional careers at a later age and after additional wear and tear from catching in college?

Wouldn't that presumably be offset by them needing less time in the minors?
