    • The A's are now playing in Sacremento and will be completely out of California by 2028 so the Giants should see an increase in fan revenue begining this season.  To me that suggests they're going to try keeping a winning team on the field to attract A's fans looking for a local team to root for and make them permanent.  I predict they're FA buyers this year.
    • Money certainly helps and in some cases, location helps but what are they selling players on? Come fight for second place…maybe? They have some decent starting pitching and some talent but there just isn’t much there plus SD and Arizona are easily better rosters, much less LA. Im not sure there is a division with 2 rudderless teams like the NL West has with SF and Colorado.
    • Hard to imagine Lamar wanting to throw to him, too, even before this. When every chance he's had, he's either dropped the ball or tripped and fell in his route.
    • It is possible they don’t want someone to pick him up.  Who knows
    • Batting averages league wide. 2018- .248 2019- .252 2020- .245 2021- .244 2022- .243 2023- .248 2024- .243 Only thing banning the shift did was to take a way some strategy.
    • Baseball has been pretty good in fixing issues with the game in its rules changes over the last several years. The dawn of the age of shifting analytics in the early 2010s drove BA and OBP into the ground?  Let's remove the most impactful shifting, give hitters more of a chance to get on base, and try to return offense to where it used to be. Game takes too long, and there are too many pauses between game actions?  Here's a pitch clock, let's keep this short and snappy for today's action-craving fan. It doesn't make sense to steal bases anymore in the modern game of Three True Outcomes?  Let's jumbo size the bases then, and make stealing easier and more tempting to do.  Up until recently, these changes have been addressing negative aspects that had evolved into the game over time, in an attempt to course-correct back to traditional results.  And a large percentage of the time, they've at least partially succeeded, and improved things. But THIS?   This is utter and complete nonsense.  It has no place in the sport whatsoever.  There's no broken thing that this purports to fix. Seriously MLB.  Build a giant catapult and use it to launch this idea directly into the sun.  Then never, EVER speak of it again.
    • Not too many have been picking them lately.    Posey is going to have to sell them big time along with a big check.
