But, either the Dodgers or Giants have had fans kill other fans in the parking lot. Not sure Philly has gone that bad. They have beat up fans before, which alone is enough to keep me away from their parks. I dont feel unsafe at OPACY, in spite of the haters claim.

Did you forget what happened to the Yankees fan at OPACY?  I have attended sporting events in Philly before and have had zero issues but I don't go around covered in opposing teams gear.

I walked around Philly with Caps jersey one day and got a lot of comments from the locals.   I had a friend who wore a Steelers jersey to happy hours in Baltimore area and he got comments from people all the time as well.  And we were both big guys so you think people would have better sense as for all they knew I was from Pittsburgh as well.

The stupidity of sports fans. I think it is universally everywhere.

No, hadnt heard that. I suspect that was an isolated incident in a relatively safe venue.

Ive had friends visit philly events and bring back tales of woe. Sure, some of them are stretched, Im sure.

But, even Clinton Portis's mother sitting in the visiting team family section was harassed by the fans for cheering for her son, and apparently this is the norm there.

Stupid how fans are. I see where police have had to escort the visiting team's buses out of the stadium in places like College Park and Duke university and I am sure many more.

I've been to more Phillies games than I can count.

I saw a fan thrown down 3 rows in the upper deck. I saw passed out fans laying in the seats and homeless persons verbally assaulting sports fans.  I saw drug use. I watched a city cop beat on the hood of my friend's car because he was angry at the car in front of us that blew through a light and took off. None of these things happened in Philly - they all happened in Baltimore with countless other bad things that I have seen.

Sure, bad things can and do happen in Philly. The problem is that they happen everywhere but the media loves to personify Philly as a hell hole. I really don't believe that it's any worse than any other city. My Philly friends are afraid to go to Baltimore because of the riots. I don't want to drag politics into this, so I'll leave it at that, but it's a fact I have to deal with when trying to convince friends to go to Baltimore (my favorite city).

I think that Bryce Harper can deal with the fans anywhere for a third of a Billion dollars.

Philly fans have earned their reputation and play up to it.  Debate over.

What Makes Philadelphia Eagles Fans Most Notorious in All of NFL?

That set forth what may officially make Eagles fans notorious. In 1998, the team installed a court and jail under the stadium run by Judge Seamus McCaffery. The fans had been so unruly that the team decided to arrest, imprison and try their fans under the stadium.

That means nothing. It probably came about because a Judge wanted free access into the games and had shop set up in the basement to get in. Not that those kind of things happen, but those kind of things happen.

A 2016 survey by the Washington Post had San Diego, The Giants, The Jets, Oakland and Pittsburgh leading the NFL race for most arrests. Philly may have been up there (I didn't look at the entire list), but they weren't at the top.

Ooooooo, well why don't you tell me why I'm wrong and stupid for that comment?  Got any evidence that Philly fans are saints?

What about the guy that made himself puke all over an off duty cop and his daughter? A true saint, good sir!
