Or, maybe not started him at all. Poor decision by Bundy that affects the team. Sick to death of guys deciding “it’s not that bad, I can just play through it.” Maybe, but you’re a cog in a wheel.

Let the manager make that decision. Then, if he starts him it’s his choice and he lives with the circumstances.

Not surprised to see Bundy to well on extra days rest. He always does. We should skip in every so often in the rotation between now and next trade deadline. Maximize his results.

Nice to see Dylan grind it out last night. I was concerned that he wouldn’t get past that 2nd inning, but he righted the ship and then some.

I don’t recall an outing (certainly not a recent one) where he so frequently utilized his offspeed repertoire. Maybe that becomes a “thing” now.

I was fuming in the second inning when Bundy walked a bunch of guys and then couldn’t throw a decent 2-strike pitch to the opposing pitcher, who lined a 2-run single.    At that point, I thought this start was headed for disaster. But Bundy got it together and pitched well after that.

Ugh. I’m rarely one of the complainers about sending a guy back out there. I will say I wasn’t a fan of this one BEFORE he gave up the bomb.

When guys are struggling with their location Dempsey always says the catcher should set up where you don't want them to throw it because it will go somewhere else, Example put the glove over the center of the plate and he'll probably put it on the corner. Sounds risky but he says he has seen it help pitchers.

Let's not act like Toronto is some juggernaut on offense. At this point in Bundy's career he's a #4-5 starter. He's averaging barely over 5 IP per game.

For the year, 21 GS, 6 quality.   Bundy's home ERA of 5.89 is 1.50 higher than on the road.  Since the break, his ERA is 7.80, over 3 points higher than the first half.   His next 2 starts are vs HOU and NY,  2nd and 4th respectively in the league in OPS.
