Pudge a Yankee

ESPN is reporting that Posada is having season ending shoulder surgery. Will MacPhail trade in the division in this scenario?

If the Yanks are interested and its the best deal, you do it. You can't worry about trading in the division, especially when you are probably at least two years away from competing.

I don't know, since when do the Yankees care much about cheaper? And Ramon hit .273 and .279 in June and July, homered against the Yanks tonight, with an ops over .800 since June. What better catchers are they going to find?

I think it's Hernandez's contact and questionable ability behind the plate that hurt his trade value.

This is the first thing I thought when I read Posada is done for the year.

Hey, Ramon ain't much anymore behind the plate, he is like a generic catcher... fills the position. But he's hitting like crazy. It wouldn't be the biggest surprise ever to me. What other sho nuff hitting catcher is out there? And available?

Didn't Cashman say just yesterday that they are not in the market for a catcher? Just goes to show you that you can never trust what comes out of a GM's mouth.

Wow, Pudge for Farnsworth? Tigers got hosed.

Was that before Jorge opted for surgery? Just curious.

And yeah. Cashman did well.
