We’ll see, but it appears Davis may be crashing back to earth.

If he really has made progress with his swing this won’t be a prolonged slump that lasts 50-100 at bats.

He never even got to .200.  I think people were overrating his improvement. If you are hitting .190 getting a hit in every 5th at bat will improve your average,  Not a high threshold.

Luckily we have your up-to-the-minute updates on how disappointed we should be: a lot, a tremendous amount, or all the disappointments.

So Davis is 4 hits in his last 25 at bats. That is a .160 average.

The manager needs to stop being like Buck. Sit CD for some games. There is no reason he couldn’t put Trey at 1st and Davis the DH. Or just sit him down. Geez another 4 years till his contract is up. IMO

He does have just 26 PA against LHP so at least he isn't starting every day.

Yeah Davis hasn’t been starting every game and was being pinch hit for earlier in the season during the hitless streak.

If this was Buck, Davis would have played every inning of every game to this point. Maybe even tried batting him leadoff.

Let's cut back on the hyperbole, no way Buck would bat Davis leadoff, that would be stupid.

Well it is almost as this whole board is manic depressive and one person posting under different account names  10000 threads about how Davis is the worst player to play the game and should be released immediately.  He gets a few hits when Hyde  is only letting him hit against easy pitching match ups.  He gets his average up to .190 and suddenly he os an All Star.  Hyde plays him every day and moves him up in line up and he predicatably goes back to .160 hitter.

Someone points this out and the same people blasting Davis for the last two years gets upset.
