One of Elias’s better trades, tbh. Half a season of Jorge Lopez as a reliever for Cano, Povich, Nunez, Rojas. Right up there with the Bradish trade. -
I think the Mets and Red Sox are the most obvious fits, but agree that Corbin would prefer Arizona Spring Training. Giants could be in play but they may prioritize Snell. Arte Moreno doesn’t like to spend big on non-everyday players and Corbin has said playing in the playoffs is important to him. D-Backs, Dodgers, Cubs, Rangers may need his market to fall for him to be a fit. -

Maybe so, but his Statcast is already better than Rogers, as are his peripherals. Especially if you look at the starts after being called back up. 8 starts since being called back up: 4.25 ERA, 3.47 FIP, 1.20 WHIP, 9.4 SO/9, 2.3 BB/9, 1.1 HR/9 Those are solid as all get out. And are very much inline with what he did in AAA this year! Kid has positive run value for his 4 seamer, sweeper, sinker and his change has upside. If he can consistently get that change where he wants, he’s got middle of the rotation stuff. -

Well, something changed that isn't readily apparent in these particular data. Obviously we know the RISP numbers in the 2nd half are the biggest difference. I think SLG probably declined, too, with the injuries to Westy, etc. And Adley being a non-factor is huge, despite not showing up in these particular numbers. -

I kind of think this team needs a "bad guy", like an awesome teammate who opposing teams dislike, someone to get under the skin of the opposition and skirt the line out there. A Manny-type. I love the group we have but I'm finding them to be a little too nice and mild-mannered. This player can't just be someone like Odor - they need to be a good player, too, otherwise I don't think they have much effect. -

I'm sure Burnes would prefer Arizona spring training. D-backs, Cubs, Angels, Dodgers, Giants, Rangers all make varying degrees of sense. -
HE lives in Arizona, I'm pretty sure.
