Hunter Harvey pitched 6.0 innings and gave up 1 run on 6 hits with 8 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed in Bowie’s 12-1 win at Indianapolis.  The first batter he faced hit the homerun and the win improved his record to 2-3. He is the Orioles Hangout MiLB Player of the Day.

 

 

NORFOLK TIDES (19-21) LOST 7-1 AT INDIANAPOLIS – AAA

 

·       Ryan Mountcastle went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.

·       Josh Rogers gave up 4 runs on 6 hits with 3 strikeouts, 1 wild pitch and 1 homerun allowed over 3.1 innings pitched dropping his record to 2-3.

 

 

BOWIE BAYSOX (15-26) WON 12-1 OVER ERIE – AA

 

·       TJ Nichting went 4 for 5 with 1 double, 1 triple, 1 RBI and 1 strikeout.

·       Brian Gonzalez gave up 2 hits with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts over 2.0 scoreless innings of relief.  

 

 

FREDERICK KEYS (19-21) ON 4-1 OVER SALEM – A (ADV.)

 

·       Jomar Reyes went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored, 1 homerun, 2 RBI and 1 strikeout.

·       David Lebron gave up 1 run on 2 hits with 4 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed over 4.0 innings pitched.  He did not factor into the decision.

 

 

DELMARVA SHOREBIRDS (31-9) WON GAME 1 3-1 AND LOST GAME 2 8-4 AT KANNAPOLIS – A (LOW)

 

GAME 1

·       Cadyn Grenier went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI and 1 strikeout.

·       Nick Vespi gave up 1 run on 7 hits and struck out 11 over 6.2 innings pitched.  He earned the win to even his record at 2-2.

 

GAME 2

·       Adam Hall went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored.

·       Ryan Wilson gave up 7 runs, 6 earned, on 10 hits with 1 walk, 7 strikeouts and 1 homerun allowed over 3.2 innings pitched.  The start and loss were both his first.
